MOONTOWN Brewpub | 1915 Room | Garden LAwn

Loosen your Leiderhosen, Moontown is throwing its 2nd annual Oktoberfest - a raucous celebration of beer, music, and the birthplace of beer.

The 21 and up party will run from 2pm - 11pm on Saturday, September 28th, & Moontown Brewing Company's entire facility will be open to ticket-holders only for a full day of beer-centric fun!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

2pm

Party Starts!

The festival begins with the bars opening and the German food menu available (see below for food and beverage details). "DysFUNKtion" Brass Band will be kicking things off with live music in the street to get your party vibes flowing. Seating is on a first come/first serve basis. Two entrances available: one by the main brewpub entrance on S. Bowers Street, one in the back of the building at the 1915 Room entrance.

3pm

Welcome & Beer Tapping

Consider this the opening ceremonies with the official Oktoberfest lager, "Follow the Lederhosen," being introduced and shared (via das boot) with head brewer, Cody Peczkowski, and general manager, Bobby Mattingly.

3:30pm

Costume Contest

Dust off your drindls and loosen your lederhosen! We're giving away a $50 gift card and a commemorative stein to the best dressed Frau and Fräulein at the party. Open to all in attendance.

4pm

Max Allen Band

Max Allen and his band will be playing in The 1915 Room from 4pm - 7pm. This stunningly full sounding trio molds compositions that appeal to a very broad range of listeners and are influenced by many different styles (reggae, rap, funk, rock, blues and jazz). Their focus on intelligent lyrics, smoldering guitar work and a few tricks thrown in for good measure will keep you dancing.

7:15pm

Stein Holding Competition

The ultimate feat of strength. Open to all who want to jump up and take their turn. The last standing man and last standing woman holding their steins will each win a dank prize (details coming soon!) + a whole year of bragging rights. You don’t want to miss this highlight of the day (SPONSORED BY: Edwards Realty)

8pm

The North 41

Chicago's "North 41" is back at Moontown and will bring down the house from 8pm - 11pm. This super high-energy band is a dynamic blend of rock, funk & jazz, with the danceability of pop music and a sophisticated musicianship that will keep you hanging on every solo. Get ready to party.

EVENT TIMING:

Oktoberfest will run from 2pm - 11pm. The brewpub will be closed to the public all day on 09/28/19 and our facilities will be open only to ticket-holders. There will be no lunch or dinner brewpub service, other than what is served at the festival to ticketed guests.

ADMISSION RATES:

Early Bird General Admission: $15

(Limited quantities available until 09/18 or until sold out)

General Admission: $20

VIP Ticket: $50

(includes admission + one 2019 Oktoberfest tee-shirt, one 2019 Oktoberfest poster, a 16 oz. Moontown glass stein + 1 drink ticket for a free fill of beer. Limited quantities available)

Sober Driver: $12

This event is 21+ only! Bring your ID -- it will be checked as you enter!

FOOD & BEVERAGE TICKETS:

All food and beverage will be for sale through a common festival "ticket system." One ticket = $5. All food and beverage will be "purchased" by exchanging the appropriate number of tickets for the item requested (for example: one beer = one ticket). These tickets can be purchased in any quantity via cash or credit card once you are inside the festival.

RAFFLES:

There will be attendance prizes raffled off at 3pm, 5pm and 9pm. One free ticket provided to every guest. We're giving nice things away!
